A Family Focus

Where do I begin?
The McWilliams family were all asked to come to Colorado Springs to visit and sing/speak for Focus on the Family. This event had been planned for many months and we all looked forward to seeing each other first, and then to be together for a what we considered an honor to stand on that stage. We girls sang a few songs and introduced ourselves during a chapel that they have for every single employee, i heard about 1300 people were there. My mom spoke on valuing life and anyone who has ever heard her can just imagine that she was her best and her performance was stellar. The chapel service was all that was planned for the entire trip but God rolled his sleeve up and we found a few more things He had waiting for us. This included a lunch at "Whits End" which is from the kids radio series from Focus on the Family called "Adventures in Odyssey", which was so exciting to me. It was magical! We kids got to be a voice on a mock-up odyssey adventure where connor (my brother) was the sound effects person.
My parents (Tony and Gail) were taken to record a Focus on the Family interview in another studio in another building....THAT was exciting for them! But then we were called (Ryan and Myself) in to the recording studio to tell our story of our courtship and marriage. It was the most fun i've had! I could do radio for the rest of my life.
To say the least, it was such an honor to do all that we did there at Focus in Colorado Springs. My feeling is, is that some of us will be back...definitely my parents.
The radio programs will air sometime in '09. I will let you know when i find out.
The trip surrounded the event at Focus but we also had some great Family time...Lydia's birthday was celebrated by all of us, Espen was spoiled with kisses and love from everyone, we got to all drive up and visit Garden of the Gods, and of course have many meals out together, including a movie "The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything" Veggie Tales, which Espen was the only one who was glued and loved it.  We're all glad he liked it.
I'm reminded of the verse...Ps. 68:19 - "Blessed be the Lord who daily loads us with benefits the God of our salvation". God has a shopping cart full of surprises he's picked for us, on a daily basis he blesses us. And on this occasion the shopping cart seemed really big, and really good.

Wow, that all really sounds fun and exciting. I dont know anything about your family but they must be special to get to be apart of all that!
